Announcement: DAV university schedule Entrance‐Cum‐ Scholarship Test 2015

DAV University, managed by DAV College Trust and Management Society running 816 institutions in India, will hold DAVU Entrance‐cum‐Scholarship Test (DAVUET) on 03rd May 2015 at various centers across India for admission to graduate‐level engineering and science programmers for the year 2015‐16

B.Tech: Computer Science & Engineering Chemical Engineering Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering Mechanical Engineering

B.Sc (Hons.): Agriculture Biochemistry Biotechnology Botany Chemistry Microbiology Mathematics Physics Zoology

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate who is appearing or has appeared in the qualifying examination, i.e., 12th Standard in 2015, is eligible to appear in the test

However, he/she shall be admitted to the course-only, if he/she provides the proof of passing the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of admission

A candidate who has passed 10+2 or any other equivalent examination with minimum 55% aggregate of
marks in respective subject combinations given under section 3

A relaxation of 5% marks will be given to SC Candidates. The candidates presently having compartment in
10+2 examination will not be eligible for admission to any course

Pattern of Question Paper

The Question paper shall be based on CBSE syllabic of 10+1 and 10+2. Question paper will be in
English language only and questions will be of Multiple Choice (MCQ) type

Each question will have 4choices out of which only one correct answer has to be chosen and the
appropriate circleis to be shaded on the provided OMR sheet

Each question will carry one mark. The question paper will have the following four sections

a) Physics ‐ 1 to 25 question numbers; b) Chemistry ‐ 26 to 50 question numbers; c) Mathematics ‐ 51 to 75
question numbers; d) Biology ‐ 76 to 100 question numbers

1. "0.25" mark will be deducted for every wrong answer
2. Students opting for PCM stream should attempt the sections A, B and C
3. Students opting for PCBstreamshould attempt the sections A, B and D

How to Apply

The candidate is required to fill online form by visiting the website
Get printout of the filled online form, the admit cards, and the attendance slip. Affix four latest
photographs of passport size on them and put signature wherever required
The form complete in all respects along with registration fee will have to be submitted by hand or by
registered post/speed post/courier to the examination center selected by the candidate in his/her
application form

However, the candidate may also get the registration form from the Principal of the opted examination
center by paying Rs.100/‐ and follow the above procedure

Note: The filled‐in form should not be sent to DAV University unless DAV University Jalandhar is opted as
the exam center; candidates are advised to retain a photo copy of the filled‐in application form and admit
card for future reference; the university will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in postal transit

Admit Card
The Admit Card will be issued only to those eligible candidates who have submitted their application forms
complete in all respects, on or before the last date

Admit Card will be sent by post or can be collected by hand from the respective test centers; if the
candidate does not receive the Admit Card by due date he/she should contact the respective examination
center at least two days before the exam date

The Admit Card once received should be carefully examined by the candidate; if any discrepancy is noticed
it should immediately be brought to the notice of the Admission coordinator in the respective test center

No candidate will be permitted to appear in the test without a valid Admit Card

The Admit Card is not transferable to any other person The Admit Card is an important document; it
should be preserved and produced at the time of counseling and admission

Declaration of Result

After the evaluation of Answer Sheets result is likely to be declared by 15th May 2015 and the same will
be available on website

A merit list will be prepared based on the total marks secured in the DAVUET‐2015; there will be no
separate merit list of SC/ST candidates

There is no provision for re‐checking/re‐evaluation of the answer sheets
No correspondence in this regard will be entertained

All the candidates seeking admission to above courses may follow the website for
procedure and guidelines regarding admission

Last date for submission of duly filled application form at the Opted Exam Centre: 10th April 2015

Date of Entrance Test: 03rd May 2015 (Sunday)

Time of Entrance Test:

i. for candidates appearing in three subjects (PCM or PCB) 11.00 AM ‐ 12.30 PM
ii. for candidates appearing in four subjects (PCMB) 11.00 AM ‐ 01.00 PM
