Devoleena Bhattacharjee who plays the role of Gopi Bahu in STAR Plus' popular show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, is training hard for her Bharatanatyam dance act at the STAR Parivaar Awards. She has been part of the gala night for many years now and knows the exhilarating feeling of performing infront of the whole STAR family.
Devoleena, who is trained in the classical dance form of Bharatanatyam made a special trip to her home in Assam for her mother’s ghungroos. She will be wearing the 3 Kgs heavy ghungroos for her performance. She said, “My mother introduced me to Bharatanatyam and it is because of her that I have been training in it. This performance is special to me as my fans will be able to see my passion for dance. Through my act, I want to thank my mother for persuading me to continue dancing.”
Devoleena has a jam packed schedule for her show and is finding it difficult to take out time for practice. “My shoot schedule is very hectic but I’m glad I managed to get those ghungroos for the awards night. I think they are my lucky charm and they motivate me to devote all my free time in the dance studio” adds the excited actress.
